'I love you' is a fact
I love you.
I truly, earnestly love you.
You have to understand I am not telling you this because I want you to return the feelings (I can understand if you can't, it's fine) but because it would make you happy to know that I love you. No, please don't. I know it may seem like giving you my heart is a burden, but it's not.
I tell you I love you as a fact, akin to "I'm hungry", and if you can return my feelings as little as you can feed me (you might want to go grocery shopping, your kitchen is rather bare) then that is a fact, too, and I can live with it.
